Saladday coffee
A moment to unwind in the city.
Located in Taito 1-chome, Saladday coffee serves tailored hand-drip brews, house-blend espresso drinks, and cascara tea in a calm, reflective interior.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Stepping through the door of Saladday coffee, visitors are greeted by the gentle fragrance of freshly roasted beans. Tucked along a quiet street, it offers an unhurried setting dedicated to the craft of coffee. Selecting a hand drip from the counter—checking the aroma of the beans and discussing preferences with the barista—is central to the experience. Offerings highlight individual origins and processing styles, from the Brazil Bonfino with its nutty, walnut-like toastiness and subtle sweetness reminiscent of kinako, to the Colombia Finca La Roca with its layers of yellow peach, mango, and lingering cocoa notes.
Beyond drip coffee, the counter turns out espresso made with a house blend, velvety caffe lattes, and refreshing espresso tonics. The menu also ventures into drinks brewed from dried coffee cherries, including cascara tea and cascara tea soda, alongside comforting options such as hot cocoa.
Gentle jazz spins from vinyl records in the background, providing a soothing accompaniment for reading or savoring a cup. Guests can sit in, take drinks to go, or purchase roasted whole beans to brew at home. Note that payment is cash only.
